Sterling Silver Flatware and Serving Pieces

Royal Crest

Castle Rose

Royal Crest Sterling was a line of 3 sterling silver patterns:
Castle Rose (introduced in 1942), Wildflower (1942) and Promise (1948),
which were manufactured by Oneida exclusively for
Empire Crafts Corp. (owned and operated by C. H. Stuart & Co. of Newark, NY).
Empire Crafts sold Royal Crest's sterling silver patterns
through private home distribution (direct-sales)
and NOT through conventional retail establishments of the time,
such as department stores and jewelry stores.
Empire Crafts went out of business in 1973.
